Do you know of someone who cannot have wheat and gluten in their diet? We were not aware until our cookie tastings introduced us to the the seriousness of the dietary challenges many folks face and that most of us take for granted!
Comfort Cookies takes considerable care to prevent cross-contamination when baking Gluten-Free products. Since we do not have a ‘dedicated gluten-free’ baking facility, we need to be extra careful and take added precautions. Our Gluten-Free cookies are baked first on a daily basis. We use dedicated separate ingredients, cookie sheets, bowls and utensils. Gluten-Free Comfort Cookies are cooled on special trays and sealed before any of our other baking commences. Our Gluten Free varieties use a combination of sweet rice, potato starch, and tapioca flours along with a special gluten-free chocolate.
At present we have seven varieties baked Gluten-Free: Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip with Walnuts, Chocolate Chip with Walnuts & Coconut, Double Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Chip with Walnuts, Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter with Milk Chocolate. |
